I gotta say... Those magnets really hold onto the blade and make a solid work surface.

A couple deep saw slots on the back will allow you to have a good way to work the spine and jimps. The blade goes in edge down and is held with one thumb with the jig in hand while the other one does the deeds.
According to some old timers the first ones just had the saw slots.

Enjoy your new tool! It will pay dividends!

For final work, cover the magnets with a layer of tape. They collect swarf and will ruin the polish of the back side of the blade if you let them.

I found covering the finished side of the blade with scotch tape will do the same

Magnets available from dead disk drives, Amazon, the 'bay. " rare earth magnets. Buy extra's, you will find a lot of uses for them!
