    Default Nick at the Point

My straight has a small nick, just beyond the blade. It is a 5/8 half hollow TI with a round point. Since the nick is beyond the cutting edge, would the easiest and best solution be to hone dull and flat that spot at the bottom of the round point? If anyone has any suggestions please advise.

    Thanks

    Default More on the Nick

Thanks for your reply. I don't think that a photo would help. The nick is too small to show in a picture. However It can seen with photographers loop and it can be felt. I hope that gives a better idea of how small it is. My last post gave a pretty good indicates of the nicks location. All repair suggestions would be welcome.

    Thanks
    Michael-
