Restored Domino
This is the first set of scales I made "for real" for one of the good blades I purchased off eBay a while back. The scales are (reputedly) Sheesham wood, finished with a hardening furniture oil on the inside to withstand any moisture, and finished with carnuba wax on the outside and edges. The wedge is moose antler, the pins are stainless steel, and the washers are also steel.
The blade is a 6/8 spikepoint. On one side it says "Domino" and on the other it says "T. Noonan & Sons CO. Boston Mass. M. Germany" and the tang has a checkered pattern on it. I still need to sharpen the blade a bit and maybe polish it with metal polish, but other than that I think I'm done with it. All that remains after that is to try shaving with it.
What do you guys think?

The pins are probably 2.4 mm (3/32") in diameter, and I bought it as a 30 cm (12") long rod from a knife supply shop online. The washers are regular 3 mm/7 mm (inside/outside diameter) washers which I bought from an electronics store. I used a 2.5 mm drill bit for the holes and the pins fit perfectly through those, and through the holes in the tangs of the blades.
