"Has anyone seen my Maas in Tx?"
No, I don't have two mommies, I am searching for my Maas to shine up my Ebay W&B Diamond Edge razor! Does anyone know where to pick it up at a local retailer? I found their website but that is the only luck I have had. Ace hardware down the street does not carry it.
Any suggestions?
How about using the old standby Brasso?
Is either brand better or worse on the etched blade?

Check your local Walgreens. I also recently discovered it at WalMart, though you won't find it on their website.

I asked a Walgreen's manager if they stock it. They had to go into the stock room and pulled the last two tubes of it as they did not stock it on the shelf at this one. You might want to pull a manager aside if you do not see it.

Don't sweat, it doesen't have to be MAAS. Go to your nearest auto cosmetics store, and buy whatever chrome and metal polish they have.
I have tried 4-5 brands, and they all work equally well. After all, MAAS is just that, a metal polish, not a special-one-of-a-kind-razor-polish...

Thanks for the help guys. We do have Wal Mart and Walgreens and of course a slew of auto stores so I am sure that I can get the stuff. Also, I do have Brasso in the house. I just knew that Maas was considered good stuff and also wondered if there was anything wrong with Brasso.
Thanks -

For Walgreens, you'll almost certainly have to ask a manager for it. My local walgreens people didn't have a clue AT ALL, but the manager knew exactly where it was.
As for WalMart, it was in the home stuff area with metal polish.

Thanked: 0Hey
Dewey, I got a bunch of tubes at the Walmart on Denton Hwy in Watauga, it was in a weird place though, over in the food section where the disposable plates and brooms and ziplock bags were - I actually picked up my snap top ziplock storage bowls for soaps right across the isle!
FYI,

Hey, you know we need to have a mini-seminar for straight users here in the Metroplex, there seems to be more than a few of us around here -

The Walmart super centers in Wichita Falls carry Maas, the local/small town Wally World does not carry it though.

I checked out the MAAS site for retail info, however, they do not list any outlets. But, the did have this article on their site. It lists 28 different metal polishes used in the automotive area.

BTW, You can get a 1.1 pound can from Amazon for less than 20 bucks if you don't mind waiting a week or so. That's enough Maas to last a life time of razor polishing. There's also 6 packs of cans for 110 bucks. Enough to do all the metal on your block! lol Or give away for christmas gifts. lolLast edited by Straight and loving it; 07-16-2007 at 01:50 AM.
