Default Just finish restored H. Boker with Ram's Horn Scales

I just finished restoring an H. Boker I found at the local antique store a while ago. I asked my wife for these ram horn scales for Christmas.

It was only my 2nd time doing a full restore like this before. Blade passed the hanging hair test and ready for my first shave with it tonight.

Very nice. Did you make the scales or buy them?

I bought them, found them on ebay. The blade I found at an antique store, it was as dull as a butter knife when I started and had a knick in the blade. I honed that all out, and sharpened it, took the original scales off and put these on.

As someone who grew up with a lot of pocket knives, I love the look.

Nice. It’s good to get them back to work. I have always liked rams horns.

Nice! It's a special kind of enjoyment shaving with one you've restored.
