The scales were already made, but I sanded them smooth and aligned them (they were drilled crooked), and added the Henckels blade and custom collar/pin-work.

Hey, that's pretty neat! That's good, it means all I have to do is get my hands on a pair of those and I don't need anything custom-made. BTW, what's the length of the Henkels blade you used?
