What is it? How do I get rid of it? How do I keep it from happening again? Am I the worst ever?

Well Theo, I'm with you! I got my collection of razors out in the past few months, and was horrified to see the same thing in your picture on my blades I wasn't sure if I should try fine steel wool ?

Flitz is a metal polish. If it's on the edge then you can carefully try to clean it off, but I'd guess that you would need to take a touch of steel off to get a clean shaving edge. And that means to put it on a touch-up/finishing stone. Then if you are not going to use the razor for a while, a bit of oil on the blade should keep that from happening. After you make sure its fully dry.
    JMHO.
    It's just Sharpening, right?

So I now have a secondrazor effected. I stropped and shaved per normal there was no sign of this. Then after cleaning up it was in the edge of this razor too. We have very hard water could it be this? I know for certain it was not there before the shave.
