    Default Flitz vs. Mothers

I finally found a local supplier of Flitz polish. I like Mother’s a lot. How do these products compare? Does anyone have experience with both?Name: 6A2477F0-0D49-4CA4-A461-236EDF04F31C.jpg

I'm about out of Mothers (that's all i've used since i started repairing razors) and was wondering if i should try something else next time. Good question.

I think the Flitz works better. I could be wrong but this is what ive found sense using both. I wish it came in the jar like mothers though, as its easier in the jar.

I've used both, but it was so far apart I can't really compare. Do half of a blade with each!

I find that flitz is more aggressive than mothers. Of course they are both polishes and not really aggressive, but flitz seems to remove more gunk than mother's for me.
I use Flitz to remove light rust and Mother's afterwards.

Used the Flitz on a Greaves and it does seem a bit more aggressive than Mithers. It also has a smell kind of like Barkeeps Friend powder. It may have some additive like oxalic acid.

Flitz is several oils, ammonia, and aluminum oxide.
Mother's is several oils, steric acid, and aluminum oxide.
I don't know the grit sizes of the two products though.
