I wouldn’t give the look of the bevel too much merit, I’ve had way worse that give fantastic shaves. Honing blades like that that have been a little abused will only help to increase your understanding of honing and your ability at getting them shave ready.
Funny enough of all the razors I have the worst one is a 3 year old Ralf Aust 5/8 that has a warped spine and is a pita to hone well and that’s the one I learned to hone with.

Thanked: 101Try putting a piece of tape over the cutting edge & going to your bevel setter. It might take a bit of work but this has worked for me on over honed razors with a wide bevel. The new bevel will be smaller and will work fine. A doctor friend of mine has a video on this.
