    Got the scales, THANKS!
He must be a perfectionist because a few years ago I paid for scales that unfortunately ended up not being as nice as these.
Ordered some shaving soap and a DE blade disposal box from his site and he generously added some other items! Shaving soap and bar soap smell nice but I haven't used them yet.

Wish I could put these scales on now!:cry

    Got them, Pete.

    Very pretty. Thank you.

Do you remember what the finish was on 5a?

    Pete,

These worked great for a little 5/8ths I have. I reshaped them a bit and refinished with Tru Oil.

I’m impressed how thin you ground the wood. Mine are always thick. Thanks again.

We have communicated by email. For others, I really like Birchwood Casey Tru-Oil - lots of thin coats.

Gary, I'm guessing that you have had a chance to shave with the razor by now. How do you like the think scales? I really like the thin ones. Most of the ones I make these days are thicker, though still well rounded.

What I really don't like are the scales that come on Dovo new manufacture razors. It feels like I'm using a razor with canoe paddles attached to it.
