Japanese razor storage?
How are Japanese razors normally stored? I'm thinking some sort of wood case to prevent damage to the delicate edge. One reason I've only made folding straight razors so far is that you simply fold them to protect the edge. However, I'm thinking of trying one, but don't want to spend all that time and damage the edge by poor storage.
Suggestions?
Thanks

Thanks, gives me a couple of ideas. I was thinking of laying it flat with a small case for possible travel. Not sure what I'll come up with though.

i like to store my kami point down so i made a storage box. one wood box, two small wood cubes and a little glue. total cost i think maybe $2 tops from craft supply store but it turned out nice. perfect fit.

Very nice, I take it the top is close enough the razor won't rattle too much? this is very close to what I've got in mind. Thanks.

ive never shaken the box but its very secure side-to-side. i think it would slide around if you shook it north-south though. =]

Be easy enough to pack cotton balls in for shipping or traveling though.
