Thanked: 4ooooh... very very nice
Gary, you were saying that you use something other than the standard "gold plate" weren't you?
Can you pretend I'm 5 and tell me again?
I'm really interested in how you do this...

So I received my gold bug today....
I really can't describe it. If you have the opportunity to pick one of these up, DO IT. Test shave won't happen for another day or two, but Gary's work is visually stunning. He returned the razor and case both packaged in two layers of inflated sealed plastic. (The razor and case were actually sealed separately.) Gary had plated the spine, tang and heelish area of the razor, and it was flawless. The scales and pin areas were better than new, and somehow, the trademarks and tang markings were preserved perfectly. I don't want to sound like I'm blowing smoke up Gary's kilt, but his work and correspondence have been just great.
Thanks Gary for your work!
PS. He honed her too. It seems scary sharp from an out of the mailbox HHT!
