Default Mappin & Webb 7 Day Set

    Sorry to disappoint
The razors are totally knackered but i will try to save some of the Ivory scales. I have never seen Ivory this dry and brittle, they may be toast but i will leave them in oil for some months and see what happens .

What is intersting to me is the label on the scales, from a hairdressers.
G Brown No.12 The Avenue West Ealing.

West Ealing is quite small and unknown in terms of places in London but i know the Avenue very well, i used to meet my Father in a pub The Drayton next to number 12 or in a coffee shop opposite.
I still do my food shopping at Waitrose just across from The Avenue.
    Small world.

That box is very nice and possibly some rare wood. Mappin Webb sure used top notch exotic materials. Very nice!!

What a curse be a dull razor; what a prideful comfort a sharp one

Given the photos of your past work, if anyone can extract some good from those unfortunate blades, you will. Looking forward to finding out what you are able to do with that lot.

I would only be able to salvage one blade and it would have no makers mark.
