Parkin Stub Tail Restoration
Started this Parkin (Acier Fondu) last week and its nearly done.
Tweedsdales shows 13 Parkin's . I'm guessing it's made by Joseph Parkin from my guesstimates.
You can drag your nail over the markings on the blade face and it is smooth (Bonus).
The scales were broken at one end and part missing at another.
Making new scales was not an option, it has to have the originals in my mind.
Using aluminium because its easy to fashion.
That will suffice.
Dremeled out parts both ends.
Glue/Dye/Horn Dust
First fill.
Build this up in two parts.
Final Construction.
Should Hold.
Job done.
