    Default Bingham Select

I thought that these pivot supports were a nice touch .. Today i deconstructed and cleaned this razor to find that the one scale was cracked at the pivot hole..
Now i think that these brass add ons are in fact to support the crack ..

    Any thoughts?
    Cheers

Sounds like a reasonable theory to me.

Was there old gunk in the crack?

That would show that the crack was there before you started.

Dunno, but the bolsters inside the scales and the diamond shaped collars is really doing it for me.
