    Default My Puma's almost done...

Well, I had some time to work on my Puma this weekend. I'm pretty happy with how it's turning out.

The scales are zebrawood. (This I'm sure will cause some interspecies issues that I'd rather not explore...) I patterned them after the originals.

The spacer is brass. These photos are from just after I pinned it. The spacer wasn't shaped quite right, so I have ground it down a bit with my Dremel. Now I have to refinish the wood in that spot... Doh.

I pulled the Puma logo off of the scales and embedded it in a small pocket of CA. The scales are finished in Tung Oil.

The blade centers nicely, but the pivot isn't consistently tight when opening the razor.

I'm pretty happy overall. I'll be honing this one up soon to see how it shaves. Still haven't decided whether I want to keep it, mainly because I have more razors than I need right now...

    Comments welcome.

I'm going to list a 7/8 round point with factory scales for $125, but it's missing the logo inlay on the scales and the scales are a tad warped.

This one should go for a good bit more than that I think.

Yeah, I haven't decided on a price yet. I've been told the wooden case is valuable as well, and they'd be going together.

'Course, it might shave my socks off, in which case I'll be keeping it.

I usually just pull mine off. But hey, if it works for you...

A true 7/8 Puma in good condition - I remember seeing this sold for much more. If the blade is clean, regardless of the scales - I may be interested

Josh, that razor is real a beauty! I really like how the Zebrawood goes with the wooden Puma case. Did you do that on purpose?
