Default Wade & Butcher with padouk wood

The first picture show the W&B before I restored them. On the other photos you can see, how its look now. The padouk is only oiled and polished. I love this beatifull red color of the wood.

It's always interesting to see what your next set of scales is going to be shaped like...
You have a really wonderful flare for the unusual... love it !!

Thank you. I think it isnt so unusual. I´m only modifie the common form a little. Scales in shape of an rifle or guitar are realy unusual

    Where did you learned german?

One tip for working with Padauk that I got from Jason, but haven't tried yet... Grind up some brass and use the dust to fill the pores before finishing the wood. It takes on a lovely metallic sheen.

Good idea. But one question. What do you mean with "finishing the wood"?
This scales are "open". There is no CA or other stuff on it. I think in this case, the brass dust would not stay in the pores, or will he do?

For that you'd need to use CA. I don't think an oil finish would keep anything in for a long time.
