Thanked: 0Hi!!
Thans a lot for the compliments!
The wood in Mohogany, the first idea was to build the handle out of bovine corn.
I started cutting, straighten, filing but at the end i find in my hand two corn slat too much Thin (1.3mm !!).
So i decided to backed them with Mohogany, now are about 3.2mm in max thickness and i finally choose to keep the bovine corn in the internal side.
The pins are made in alpacca (nickel silver) and are about 1.9mm in diameter,i build myself the little washer too,i find a easy system.
They are made out of a INOX AISI 301 steel with a thickness of 0.5 mm.
I drill the bore first and after cut them squared 4-5 mm with a sharp metal chisel.
Then put all the little pieces stacked in about 10 pcs in the same time threaded on a hardened steel pin.
Finally i put them in contact to a running coarse belt grinder,in that way after a while they start running starting to be circular in the shape, tilting in the right way remove more or less material if desired.
