Thread: My latest restoration...

My latest effort... The blade is sanded to a 400-grit satin finish. The scales are padouk wood with a CA finish... Brass spacer.

It came out pretty well, but of course we'll focus on the flaws... I haven't gotten the hang of shaping the spacer perfectly... I managed to put a bubble in the finish at the pivot pin... And the blade doesn't sit quite right between the scales, but I'm pretty sure it's the blade in this case. When layed flat on my hone, it's not even... Grind is off center, I think.

Overall, I'm happy with it. This one's going up for sale shortly...
