    Default 3rd pin spacer?

What do you guys use for a spacer when adding a third pin? I just put together a razor with a third pin without the spacer. When I swing the blade into shaving position the scales flex and the pin sticks out. I know I could make something but I was trying to think of a premade source some kind of tubing or something

Hmm...the only one I ever replaced I cobbled together from a previous set of scales I disassembled. A great source might be a craft store. My daughter does bead craft, and some of her spacers could easily be made into razor pin spacers.

    Try some of these.

That's pretty much what I use....

I go to a local craft shop, and casually go to the necklace/jewelry section (I always feel a little weird mingling among the ladies and little girls for certain silver jewelry pieces) and get some silver pieces that look like they'd fit.

A more expensive option is to use knife stops from a knive source....(i.e. texasknife.com)

Thanks for the ideas, I will have to beg, borrow or steal, some beads from my niece.

For what it is worth, I ended up using a section of the ink-tube out of a ball point pen to make the spacer. It is just about the perfect diameter.

I got the idea today while playing with my pen, while I was on hold on the phone. I guess being on hold is good for something.
