Default How to make epoxy scales

Anybody know the process involved in making scales from epoxy? Just thinking maybe to try something different with a W&B wedge I have.
    Thanks

I made a set of scales out of System Three T88 epoxy, the scales were not stiff enough to use. I made the molds using silicone putty like this one http://www.ares-server.com/Ares/Ares...oduct&ID=81853 . Maybe using a polyester resin would be the right thing, or one of the specialty resins made for casting small parts.

Gary (Traveller) makes these. I think he's away right now (he's doing some faux tortoise scales for me), but he'll be back soon. He should be able to tell you what he uses. He does some amazing work.
