    Default Tückmar with lacewood

My last project. The Tückmar razor had some serious problems with rust (first pic.). For this reason I hat to polish not only the rust, no the gold was also gone away.
The handle in a traditional shape is from lacewood. The wedge is a 3 layer one, from brass, german silver, brass.

Shame about the rust, but those scales are fabulous.

You always come up with interesting designs, but this is by far my favorite. Beautiful work!

Beautiful scales and work, but I cannot stop looking at the spine on that blade. Amazing

I don't know about any butt sandwiches, but this razor is a serious looker!!! Very nice work, Buddel. Really fantastic. Cheers!

Beautiful work, Buddel! Great idea for the spacer, too. What I'm wondering: with a decorative spine like this one, do you have to protect it with electric tape every time you hone?

Thank you all for the gently comments.

No I think, I dont have to protect the spine. First, this razor is very easy to sharpen. You need only a little time on the stones with very little preasure. The second and more important, the spine dont lay on the stone between the sharpening process. The point, where the blade touch the stone, is under the spine.
