    I asked about that a long while ago before I got mine. Unfortunently, the types of motors in these won't work with potentiometers.

    Yeah be careful what you do. Not all types of motor are suited to voltage regulators. If that one isn't you might even fry it. Don't do it unless you know what you are doing.
    Several motor types require a frequency regulator instead of a voltage regulator.
