Default OK, Joe Chandler, fess up

    Joe,

I give up. How do you get those amazing raised heads on your pins? They're beautifully domed and polished--really, really nice.

    Do you mind sharing?

I've been looking for the tool that Bill Ellis used in his CD... keep forgetting to look up his links.

    Is it anything like that?

The punches make sense. But what's the material? Thick-walled brass tubing?

    Likely just a plain washer.

Yep...a doming block and punches. Just a regular washer. The trick is, when you get the pin tight, you buff it to blend everything together. Not magic, just practice. (And the right equipment )

What size washer are we talking? It looks like it could be a #0W...
