Default Cleaning rust from the "tang grip"

    Hi,

I'm restoring my first razor and it's coming alongs quite well. However, I just don't seem to be able to get the rust of the grip on the tang I've tried using a wire disk, but it doesn't really seems to do the job. I don't really want to use sand paper if possible because I think it will take away the grip.

Please let me know what you think.

    Steven

What often works for me is to load up the jibs with Mass and then hit them with the wire wheel.
