Default CA vs epoxy for restoration

Hi, I was wondering what people's experiences were with CA and epoxy. CA seems to be the norm for sealing scales. Why is that? If I hadn't read thread after thread about CA, I would never have considered it as a sealer/finish for scales.

    Does anyone used epoxy?
    Thanks,
    -Hanno

CA with an accelerator is fast. Epoxy is cheaper, gives more working time and has more flex tolerance. I use CA because its fast.

Not for sealing, but I used flexible autobody epoxy to attach the scale liners.
