    Default Brass online source

    Hello,

I haven't been able to find one source that
sells all the brass goods needed for repinning
    scales. Microfasteners has some stuff,
onlinemetals.com has rod, etc, etc. Is there
one place that sells rod and washers
together. I don't want to spend under a dollar
and have to pay shipping. Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks.

I don't know about online but local hobby shops usually have the stuff. By the way shipping at microfasteners is only $3 if your order is under $10 (and I don't know anything you would get for less than a dollar, washers are like $3 or $4 alone). That's pretty cheap I'd say.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking more like
onlinemetals.com for rod. I think it was like .26 cents
    per foot. I wouldn't order much. I really didn't
check their shipping. Maybe I'll try a local hobby
    store. Thanks again.

Go to Texas Knifmaker Supply. 1/16" brass rod is about .10 a foot. Outside that, go to Michael's or Hobby Lobby. They'll have it in the same section as the model cars and airplanes.

Where in Michaels do they have it? I wandered around aimlessly and found nothing the young lady there looked at me with a deer in the headlights look. Home Depot had 2/16 flux rod but no 1/16 non flux rod

    Thanks,
    Bob

I got my 1/16" brass rod at my local ACE Hardware. I forget how much it was, but I do remember it being pretty cheap.

    Hope it helps,
