Thread: What is CA?

I tried to run a search on this to no avail. I know what it does and I know that it can put a nice finish on wood scales, but I don't know exactly what it is. If I went down to my local building supply store and asked for CA, would they know what I was talking about?

Cyano Acrylate also known as "Super Glue". You will probably have more luck if you go to your local hobby-store (R/C planes, model builders etc)

Just apply it to the scales with your finger(covered with a glove is better) as thin as you can. build up some layers and then sand it smooth and polish.
