engraving a wapinienca
Does anybody have advice/suggestions/reccomendations for engraving a wapienica with initials or a short quote?

seal the blade in wax, and lightly scratch through the wax to expose what you want to etch, then dip it in an oxidizing solution...
That would be the most simple way I can think of.
any solution that will tarnish the metal will likely etch it given time. damascus is etched with muriatic acid or phosphoric acid... both used for maintaining pools.

I can't recall who posted this link first (sorry) it was but it was lost in the crash. If it is carbon steel then this will work. I have used it to put initials on a knife I was making, but have not used it on a razor. I was thinking about getting a wapi to play with though.

Joe Chandler, I think, did some nice looking engraving on Wapi rescales for JoshEarl and others. Looked like real engraving, not just etching.

Finger nail paint or nail polish. I had everthing I needed laying around the house. The hard part was making the design in the dried nail polish.
