dubl duck Satin wedge
WELL, here is a dubl duck satin wedge I restored a while back (the last picture is the "Before" image). I replaced the yellowed rotting celluloid scales with Lexan(?) (high grade plexiglass) and added a little shield embelishment
OH, also, since there was pitting along the top of the blade backside, from the celluloid decay, I buffed the blades, blued the tang and spine, and added gold leafing to the stamping on the tang....
Just need to hone her up!

P.S. OH, and the great pictures were taken buy one of our members, Dan (drb). Thanks Dan!! Actually, they are too good! You can see the dust on the clear scales!! LOL!

Where did you source your Lexan from? I've been having trouble finding a local source for small pieces of it, any help would be appreciated.

I've tried plexiglass a few times, but I can never get all the scratches out. What's your progression for shaping and polishing them?
