    I'm not sure whether i like the nut side of the pins but the scales, fit and finish are great.

    I was thinking the same thing!
    It is a beautiful piece, but the nuts stand out like a sore thumb.

    Did you actually use the wood as a capture for the nuts or are the nuts outside the wood ?( I hope that makes sense. )

    The nuts are recessed into the wood. Used a step drill then cut the corners for the nuts to capture them. I hope that makes sense.
    Could not find any knurled barrel nuts that small , will have to see about making some?
