As requested, here's the finished razor.

Using this one and trying to fit scales to it has taught me a few things about blade design. For example, the monkeytail and tang are too short on this one. And that little bevel on the side of the tang where the blade and tang join... Yeah, that has a purpose. It lets the razor slip into the scales properly without wedging them apart.

The scales are canarywood finished in CA, and the spacer is buffalo horn.

I've been using this razor for the last two weeks, and it's held up well. Be on the lookout for some handmade razors in the BST forum sometime in the next few weeks....

My plan right now is to not take orders, but just make what I can make and sell them as I finish them. The idea of a waiting list doesn't appeal to me just yet.

What about for fellow Pennsylvanians? Will you give us preferred treatment?

    Hmmm... Don't know about that...

Funny thing was, when I showed it to my wife, she said, "Oh, it's black and gold--the Steelers' colors!"

This was met with a howl of despair from me. My feelings for the Steelers are second only to my feelings for the Boston Red Socks. (I'm a Cleveland fan.)
