Lately, I've been reading a number of these threads and posts trying to glean as much info as possible before I actually go out and try my first full blown resto attempt, and I've noticed quite the paucity in steel wool use. Most of the artisans here prefer sandpaper and flap wheels, etc., but very few posts espouse the goodness of 0-0000 steel wool. Why?
