    Default Newbie building inventory

Well, I've added three more razors to my stable for a total of five in the last 2 weeks since I had my first straight shave (of this century, at least). The Double Arrow is the only one I've gotten honed well enough to shave with, and it's OK but not really smooth. Still, the 6 shaves I've had have been quite good, no blood, no irritation, and fairly close, if not BBS absolutely everywhere. (No way to do ATG on my upper lip until I get that blade a lot smoother.)

I've managed to pick up a couple from ebay and refurb, this one was only $10. It's a generous 6/8, and I've re-pinned it:

This one cost 3 times that, but pretty nice for $30. It had a fine sprinkling of rust, unfortunately the gold wash had to go with the rust, but the etching is still nice.

And, I've made my first scales out of white oak, to rescale the Wapi. The picture shows it with just an oil finish on the wood, still thinking about the final finish.

    W. H. Morley & Sons were in business somewhere in America from about 1919 to 1930. If anybody knows any more about them, please speak up. Likewise, the Aziz-Zadeh is something I never heard of, either. Although I think it's a very attractive razor, a skoshi less than 7/8.

I was watching that Morley. I have 5 of them, and hope to pick up a couple more soon. They are super shavers. I have two with barber notches I polished out and am custom scaling. They will eventually go up on the BST. For $10, you got a super deal.
