    Default I love antique shops!

My first restoration. I didn't bother with any "before" shots.

Standard dingy blade, with a ~1mm chip out of the edge, and some significant rust where the blade contacted the old set of scales.
Sanded out the chip (glass plate & sandpaper method), sanded off the rust.
New scales are walnut with countersunk bolt & nuts.

Worked on it during lunchtimes (there were some lunches that were longer than others... )

    Shaved with it last night

Still needs a bit of refinement in finish and in edge quality, but it did manage to get me BBS.

Man, every time I see a set of handmade wood scales, it makes like them even more! What kind of wood is that?

And are you selling the razor?

    They are walnut.

I may put it up for sale once I get my next one.... unless you make me an offer I can't refuse!

I have a gun, a shovel, and LOTS of wooded land.

Should I just give you the shipping address then?
