    Default Question about Maas

I'm using Maas to polish up a vintage blade. Is the idea to keep using more Maas and keep polishing until you don't get anymore black residue coming off onto your polishing cloth? Or will this go on forever and do you stop at the point the blade looks like it's pretty clean?

    Thx

I use dremmel felt wheels to polish with MAAS and I keep polishing until the whole blade is perfectly mirror bright.

Well I guess I'm wondering whether a clean, polished blade will continue to give off the blackish residue, or does that stop once the blade is fully clean?

That I can't tell you because by the time the blade is really clean the pad I use is so black it can't get any blacker. I suspect though that you could keep polishing more black off forever.

Since MAAS is a chemical polisher i think it will keep bringing up black gunk until the cows come home, IIRC. So just stop polishing when the blade is real bright and shiny.
    Be just and fear not.
