I just recieved this from ebite and frankly I'm kinda amazed.
Although it looks like someone went a little crazy on the blade, the toe does come up and it looks to be thinned out. The scales are in great shape and there's a small amount of rust, most of it appears to be tarnish.
Can anyone id theses scales. I think they are horn but I'm not 100% sure.
I want to leave this intact (hopefully) so the big question is can this blade be saved and how to clean the scales. Ive heard acetone for celluloid but wouldnt that kill horn?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
