Where should I start?

I picked this razor up on ebay and was wondering what the chances are of me getting that nick out on one of my DMTs. I have a 340, 600 and 1200 DMT plate, Norton 4k/8k and a belgian yellow 6x2 coticule with a rubbing stone. Where should I start on working on this nick? 600 or 340? This would be my first attempt at taking a nick this size out of a razor and my first attempt at a restore, I got this for just $8.50 or so. Needs a re-scale too, how do you remove the pins, do they have to be drilled out? I was also wondering if anyone has heard of this brand before, on one side it says:
L. Lowe Co Milwaukee Wis

And on the other it is as shown, it also has a stamp on the back of the tang that says: GERMANY

What're my chances of getting that nick out on the DMT and just curious what would constitute a razor needing a re-grind? This one doesn't have any pitting on it and just a little rust that I'm thinking should come off fairly easily. Does MAAS take rust off or just for polishing? Thanks for any input..
