Thanked: 0Flitz v. Maas
I have been looking around this morning to find a retailer in my area that carries Maas to no avail. I did, however, find a mom & pop hardware store that sold Flitz.
I know that the general preference of the board is to use Maas, especially because it may be the only polish that you have used.
For those who have used both or know of the differences, please let me know your opinion of the match-up.
Thank you in advance.

Both are good. I prefer the consistency of Maas. I buy mine off of e-bay.

Well let me complicate things further. I use simichrome and think it works better that maas.

Thanked: 13245Here is my take on all three MAAS, Flitz, and Simichrome I used two of them for alot of years on guns and now on razors MAAS I am just now starting with !!!!
Flitz is a much more gentle polish it can actually be used on a blued gun without scratching it... (works on the whole razor including scales)
MAAS is a little more aggressive and looks to have some rouge in there for polishing... (works on the whole razor scales included)
Simichrome is even more aggressive and a better cleaner (I haven't tried this on razor scales)
This of course is JMHO and a whole lotta years using the products!!!!!

Thanked: 0Well, I bought the Flitz from the mom & pop store and found MAAS at a Walgreens (had to call 5 of them to find one that carried it). I figured that I would buy both after hearing your opinions. Now, I just have to find Simichrome .... Well, no one said that razors would be cheap.
