One thing to check when you're using bushings is whether the pin sits straight with the bushing installed. On a lot of vintage razors, the holes are oversized but crooked. If you put a bushing in, it forces the pin to sit crooked, too, and then you'll never get everything aligning properly.

That one looks fine from what I can see, but I thought I'd mention it.

I just had to comment on the Stephan Bay Rum in the picture. I remember seeing Stephan products in the barber shop when I was a kid -- some 40 years ago. That logo, which I haven't even thought about in ages, brings back memories. I had no idea they still existed.

+1! When I do bushings I check to make sure the pivot hole is a true perpendicular and the holes are also drilled straight in the scales. Many of the older ones have holes that don't line up on the perpendicular. So you have the combination of a kittywampus pivot hole in the tang and misaligned holes in the scales. Fun! No wonder some of the really old razors have hula hoop sized pivot pin holes.

Well just want to say thanks for all the help from u srp members, mabey i had beginers luck. The razor functions like a new, and opens and closes fine the scales do not hit the blade. Not so great in the looks department because i had a lot of difficulty with the plexiglass also the wedge is a little off will see if ican round off the back with dremmel to even it up.I will replace them in the future now that i have a little experience on pinning .I can finaly can use my wapi again now that it so much lighter. Here is a pic still needs a little clean up, but like i said not so good in the looks department but very functional .Thx

Well I think you did a great job! I wanna rescale my Wapi as the scales make it very difficult for me to shave with it but I have Zero experience with rescaling. Looks pretty good to me.
