I also posted this elsewhere. But in light of the heavy-duty buffing thread Floppyshoes has been working on , I also wanted to post it here.

This place sells all sorts of stuff for mucking around with stuff. Of particular interest to restorers would be the section on lapping pastes as shown in the attached file.
They have diamond pastes from 45um down to 0.25um, and other types of abrasive pastes from 90 grit down to 8000 grit.
The diamond pastes are quite reasonably priced as well, for all you pasted stroppers out there.

Awsome, I wonder what abrasive they use in the non-diamond pastes...
