wood scales.
Anyone ever use KOA to make scales? I have a couple of pieces laying around. Also how hard is it to make your own? Thanks .

Thanked: 2209May I suggest you post your question in the restoration forum? That is where the relevant experience lies.

This would prolly be better placed in the resto section; more views.
But to answer your question, yes I just made several (have one set left even). Not bad to work with; good wieght but will scorch (turn black) easily. Not hard to fix with some sanding, but scorches easier than I expected.
Beautiful results!

Here is a Joe Chandler restore posted a while back with Koa scales. I'm thinking they worked out okay!
