I recently came across a dubl duck golden edge razor that is in close to mint condition blade and scale wise. It also has the full goldwash still on the tang and monkey tail. The problem is, there are two patches of rust on the tang close to the scales. (I assume from being stored closed after shaving with it not fully dry)

I'm assuming if there is rust then the gold wash under those two small spots is gone, correct? What would be the ideal way to clean this up, get rid of all the wash or just clean up the rust spots and having missing wash in those spots?
