projects from the wood shed
While stuck out in the wood shed making cabinets, I have snuck in some time for some razors. Not as super duper fantastics shiny and unique as most I see on here, but fun projects just the same.
First set top to bottom (2 pictures): Ontario 5/8 (zebrawood scales), Wade and Butcher 7/8 (?) wedge with eagle engraving (tulipwood scales), 5/8 Bengall in gun metal blue (smoked clear acrylic finish on bloodwood/purpleheart scales), and a Case Temperite 5/8 (Lacewood scales)
Second set of pictured are recently aquired soon to be messed with: Genco 4/8, Shure Edge 5/8 and a Wilkens 5/8 1/4 hollow (?).
I tell you what, this restoration stuff takes a LOT of time and patience. When you see some stuff on the B/S/T restored by some of the artisians on this site and see the prices asked, I must say they are not getting fat off of this, and are doing more from the heart than the checkbook.
My hat is off to all of you restoration guys. Some day I will reach that level.
