Default Brass & Nickel Silver Rods for pins

Thought I would share an online source for those of us that can't just run into town to get supplies for pins...
They have brass rods and nickel silver rods designed for making pins for knives and razors in 12' length and 1/16 inch dia....

I have been getting 12” 1/16 brass rod at the local hardware store, 49 cents each. I purchased all they had.

Is that hardware store a big name store? I haven't found anything locally here in MD.

I ordered both brass and nickel silver rods from them late last year. They lost my order but were very apologetic and made it right. I would/will definitely order from them again.

Nope, local mom and pop hardware store that has been there as long as I can remember, and that is over 30 years. Gem City hardware.

All the local mom and pops up here either went out of business or became ace or true value. In any case - I've just been ordering from online suppliers. Seems like the shipping cost is less than what it'd cost me in gas to go to a local store....

they also have the correct brass ones. you want #0 for outside and #0WIDE for the inside

It's been several years since I've been to Heimerdinger's. Very nice folks indeed. It's only about a 20 minute drive for me. I guess I'll have to make a trip soon.
