    Default Just too anxious

Here's one I'm in the middle of, but I got too anxious and put it together so I could give it a few test shaves. I'm not done with the blade or the scales yet. The scales are bubinga with a purpleheart spacer. They've only got boiled linseed oil, but I'm looking for a bit more sheen so I'll do a little more finish sanding and give it some tung oil treatment. The box is from a pine 2X4.

Great job so far. I think aesthetically the brass inserts give the razor a very nice finish, especially on the end with the spacer.

Thanks guys - that was my first time using brass and it really does dress up the finish product. Very easy to work with too. I'll probably use the brass liners on any scales I make from this point on.

    Default +1 on the brass.

    That brass adds class.
