    Default An Inflatable Sanding System!

I have been prowsing the Internet looking for a belt sander. and, yes, I have found a lot of choices. Here is one that looks pretty good. It's available from a wood carving web site called "Chipping Away", this is called
    "The Ultimate Power Sharpener":

Before I left the site, I found this unique sanding system: It's called "Kirjes-Gueinevere Inflatable Sanding System":

    http://www.chippingaway.com/WoodCarv...dingSystem.htm

After looking at both these systems I am blown away to say the least. BTW, they are both from Sweden.

I originally had in mind that I wanted something I could sand wood scales with.
This inflatable sanding system looks very promising and very interesting.

    Any opinions out there?

I have never tried this system, but I know that some of the more known vendors to the knifemaking hobbyists here in Sweden offer them. The price offered on "your" site is very competative compared to the price in Sweden, but that might be due to the current $-rate...

The competitive price is probably because of the weak dollar.
I know that my coticule from Howard was a lot cheaper than the same coticule I could buy locally. And that was with shiping included.

Those drum sanders look real sweet.
I am not sure I'd use them for blades. When regrinding you'd want something more rigid because otherwise you get uneven hollows.
But these puppies would rule for making scales, I can see that.
