    Arrow IMPORTANT. FORUM REORG

As you can see, we've made a few changes to the restoration forum.
First of all, it is no longer called the restoration forum because that name was becoming obsolete.

We've renamed it 'The Workshop' because this is where you can discuss anythign related to working on straights: scaling, pinning, sanding, scale finishing, ... as you can see, this is the same as what it was used for already, but some things have got nothing to do with restoration.

One major change is that we have also created a new subforum called 'The Gallery' which is intended to be used for showing the restorations that you have done. There are a lot of these threads, what with the growing number of restorers here. In fact, there were so much 'showing off' threads that it was beginning to clutter the practical discussions.
From now on, all new threads which are meant for showing your work should go into the gallery. This way there is a place where people can look at each others handy work without diluting the technical content of the workshop.
Josh and I will move a lot of existing threads to the gallery.
NOTE: the gallery is also meant for pictures of newly forged razors. Basically, every razor that has seen the inside of your workshop one way or another can go there.

And finally, we recognized that the number of people who start to make razors is growing from 0 to >0.
Currently, razor making related content also goes in the old restoration forum.
But since the number of people making razors is still small, and the number of threads on this sort of thing is still low, the information is very diluted.

In order to concentrate this knowledge we have create 'The Forge' which is completely dedicated to blade making (forging, grinding, etching, ...)
    It serves a dual purpose:
    - to gather information in an encylopedia style forum for reference
    - to allow beginnig blade makers to ask questions where they can be noticed easily by other blade makers, thus increasing the chances of maintaining a conversation between like minded persons without having to search for it.

We truly believe that this reorganization will be for the better of people working on razors.
