Polishing frequency
This may sound like a stupid question but how freuqnetly should you polish your straights (if at all)?
I keep my razors cleaned and lubed up with a little mineral oil when stored. Occasionally I'll see a little bit of darkening, rarely do I see a rust and then I'll pull out the MAAS and polish the razor up. Maybe once every couple of months.
Is there a rule of thumb about polishing?

That depends how anal you are about these things. As long as there is no real rust I don't worry about things like little black spots and water stains. So, I rarely polish my razors. I would rather use an eraser to remove the spots every now and then so they don't become more serious. Most of my razors though I have never polished since I acquired them.

Thanked: 416I give everyone a polish every two weeks whether they need it or not. I store mine in the bathroom so I try and keep an eye on things
