    Default Lather burn

I am starting to get a dark line developing on my carbon dovo near the edge and read yesturday for the first time of a thing called lather burn. Does anyone have any suggestions for getting rid of the newly found dark spots and how to prevent it from happening? I found some MAAS at Walgreens this evening and am going to attempt to use it. I take very good care in drying and storing the razor out of the bathroom in my bureau upstairs and was quite surprised to discover the dark spots. When I refer to the word storing I mean only for one day as I alternate days between my dovo ss.

    thanks,

    Sean

I've seen lather on some of my razors, usually if the lather was too thick or something and didn't wash all of the way off when I rinsed it off though it looked to have. I found it was easily cleaned in barbicide when I did my periodic disinfecting of the razors as I noticed it was all gone after the 10 min soak. If it's just the white lather stain that looks to be on the blade near the edge a bit I'd try that before the maas if you have some barbicide.

No rubbing or otherwise working on it this way, just have to fold the scales back and hang the razor down into the barbicde with edge away from the glass, I use the scales to hold it in the barbicide jar over the edge. Leave for 10 mins then just rinse it off with hot water. I use a little dovo sterol afterwards to prevent rusting. Saw someone else post about this that they had noticed it when cleaning a brush with barbicide, I also noticed it when I did my razors haven't cleaned a brush with it before didn't see the need really.

I used MAAS on the blade last night and it did a great job of removing all the residue.
In the process of using the dremel I must have inadvertently brushed across the edge of the blade as the shave this morning was sub par. I think a touch up with the Swaty might bring it back.
